A magnitude 7.1 earthquake has hit the capital of Japan – Tokyo. Due to the earthquake, local activities stopped within the vicinity. Though the earthquake was relatively strong, there are no tsunamis expected resulting from this quake.
The Tokyo earthquake happened at 1056 GMT which shook the capital region, including Ibaraki, Saitama, Tochigi and Chiba. No casualties or property damages has been reported yet.
