Kensington Rune Stone

What is the Kensington Rune Stone? It is a rune stone found by a Minnesota farmer over a hundred years ago that contained Runic inscriptions (Norse inscriptions). It was initially viewed as a hoax but in the 1960s it was discovered that the inscription matched those of stones found in Sweden thus strengthening the case for the rune stone’s authenticity.

According to Scott Wolter, a geologist and researcher, the rune stone’s inscription refers to a party of 30 who had traveled “far west of Vinland.” If this is true, history would need to be rewritten making the Norse the first ones to reach America and not Columbus.
