How to Withdraw Money from Paypal in the Philippines

Phaw was looking for a bank that he can transact with and open a savings account and took Unionbank as an option. This became an option because he already had an account with Unionbank, thru the EON visa card. He used this card before to be able to send and receive payments for one of his first online business ventures(the .WS domain networking business…).

He searched the internet to further research on Unionbank accounts and to his pleasant surprise, Unionbank cardholders can now withdraw funds from their Paypal account thru their Unionbank account! This is good news for Phaw since there are affiliate programs out there that send payments thru Paypal. However, this is neither good or bad news for those who earn thru Adsense since Google doesn’t send payments thru Paypal :( (this might have something to do with Google having their own system call the GoogleCheckout…).

But this is certainly good news for those affiliate marketers in the Philippines who receive their payments thru Paypal! This would also motivate those Filipino affiliate marketers who hesitate to promote programs that only pay thru Paypal. The benefits that Phaw sees for affiliate marketers in the Philippines are:

  • Receiving payment for affiliate program transactions would be faster
  • E-commerce(thru affiliate marketing) participation might develop further thus giving Filipinos another source of income

Well, in a nutshell, this is how the Paypal-Unionbank would work for affiliate marketers:

  1. Open a Unionbank account(either EON or E-wallet accounts…)
  2. Enroll the Unionbank account to online banking
  3. Open a Paypal account (for those without Paypal yet of course)
  4. Add the Unionbank account to the list of banks Paypal can transact with
  5. Withdraw money from Paypal via Unionbank

To know the detail by detail step of this, you can check the Unionbank website itself: Unionbank-Paypal.

Is sending money to your paypal account FROM your savings account possible already? Last time I checked, it still wasn’t possible in the Philippines.

Phaw, you have a great website and you write very well. Easy to understand though sometimes lengthy - but thats okay, every bit is another piece of information. Just watch out getting too emotional on your articles. This comment has nothing to do with this article so I am sorry if I put this clutter in your comments section. I just want to let you know this is a Grade A website the first time I visit. I actually scanned ALL articles on your Homepage. Surely I will visit again.

Whoa!… nahahawa yata ako magsulat sayo Phaw????
and even my article begins with “Phaw”!!!

had problems with this unionbank eon account. There was a time when I can withdraw funds from Paypal with ease but there were these two instances when my funds were returned to Paypal because of wrong account information. Lost 500 pesos in some fees something.

    Randell,

I’d like to ask why you want to send money to your Paypal account? If you want to buy something on the internet, I don’t think you need to do so as it automatically gets funds from the linked account you have(at least that’s what happens to me when I buy using Paypal…).

    Lee,

Did this happen recently? What type of wrong account information? Were you able to get your 500 back?
