Erik Gates is dead. According to various reports, he was involved in a freak accident at work which concluded his life at the relatively young age of 47. Gates fell through a skylight on the building and died of blunt force injuries to the chest. He was lucid and talking at the scene immediately after the fall, but died later at the hospital.
Gates owned the electric company “Gateco Electric”. But he might be better remembered when he appeared on a few episodes of the popular Discovery Channel TV show, “Mythbusters”.
