Daily Globelines Broadband Speed Test Results

I’ll be posting my Globelines Broadband speed test results here everyday (hopefully I have the time). This is out of my frustrations with this broadband after several months of usage. FYI, I live in San Pedro Laguna so if you are experiencing the same problem, feel free to comment. I applied for this package:

Expected speed: 1mbps (for download)

Extras: Phone line + printer + headset

(I received the printer and headset several weeks after the agree date. Very unprofessional of Globe/Globelines)

As a subscriber, here are my expectations:

- I will get the promised speed of 1mbps any time of the day

- Phone should work all the time

- Connection should not be intermittent

- My bandwidth should not be shared with other internet subscribers

To test my daily speed, I will be using Speedtest.net’s services. Without further ado, here are my results:

Slow connection.

I am giving an unbiased report on my Globelines speed so expect it to pass from time to time :P . Well in this case it really did. Globelines turning over a new leaf? Let’s see…

Verdict: Passed (once in a blue moon…). I guess most are asleep due to the gloomy weather (thus not much bandwidth sharing…)?

Verdict: Failed. Worst failure ever.
Why? Because my speed test did not even start due to the very slow connection. Come on…I am stuck here, see below:

    70 kbps and below lang nakukuha ko sometimes 20 lang or 12 ano b yan na internet tapos ayaw nila akong magpadisconnect, tapos may shoppe ako alangan naman na 12 kbps in 10 computers, e di wala ka nang costumer. pagdisconnect daw kailangan bayaran ko 10 thou kasi 2 months lang nagamit ko.,….. ayaw ko nga!!!!!! anong claseng contract yan sabi nila up tom 1 mb ang makukuha ko e wala naman pala dapat bigay muna nila service nila na 1 mb or kahit 700 lng. wala naman silang mailabas kahit ilang ulit dumating technician nila. nagbabayad n lang ako ng wala alangan na magpa internet ako ng ganun e di wala nang customer. dapat bigyan pansin ng government ito para di nila maharass ang customer nila mag additional pa daw sila ng bayad or punta sa court, ano yun pananakot.
    kaya nagpaconnect ako sa iba DSL nalng. do what is right if you know its right.
    dpat magtulungan tayo against this false and misleading contract.

    wala pa nman still waiting for their move. but don’t expect me to pay them kasi wala tlga ako nakukuhang signal. meron pero mawawala din browse nga lng e takes 10 to 15 minutes 32 mbps lng. ilang ulit ko na silang nakausap pero wla pa dn silang nagawa unfair nman na mgbabayad ako ng wala naman silang service na naibibigay. may notice silang naibigay na i should pay them or else may additional pa akong babayaran and the case will go to court. napaka unfair nman nun. pinagpeperahan lang ang tao. parang tinatakot pa. but whatever their move is, i’ll just do what is right.

    5 times na may pumunta kasi kinulit ko sila. pero wla talaga silang magawa kahit kung saan saan nila linalagay signal nila. kailangan daw kausapin sa office nila para taasan nalng yung signal na makukuha ko pero d daw pwede kasi pang 1 thousand lang binabayaran ko e wla nga ako nakukuhangh signal. ganyan talaga sabi pa ng technical nila.
