This would just be a quick post. I think my Adsense account is Smartpriced. I think so because I get the dreaded $0.01 clicks. You may learn about it here – Adsense Smart Pricing.
As a workaround, I’ll only be showing my ads in all of my sites to search engine traffic.

When I bought my laptop (my first and only laptop by the way…), it came pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium. And being a Windows user all my life, I had my qualms and doubts. You probably know of BSOD (blue screen of death) and the many viruses directed at attacking the Windows OS. Well, Windows Vista claims to eliminate the BSOD while minimizing the viruses that could attack it. So did it? From my personal experience, it was ‘a bit’ true. I say a bit since the occurences of BSOD screens happening was minimized so did the infection of viruses (I use Norton Anti-virus…).
How about the user interface? At first, it looked very pretty to me with its Aero-glass looks and 3D menu bars. However in the long run, the looks no longer mattered to me as the start-up boot up time was really really slow. It would take 2-3 minutes just for me to login to Windows, a really bad user experience for me.
To counter the bad with a good, Windows Vista does have useful features that prior versions of Windows did not have (as far as I know). One of this is the ‘Shrink Volume’ feature in Vista. Using this, you can easily create and delete partitions in Windows itself. I normally do this (partition) before when I want my PC to dual-boot Windows and some other operating system. To do this, I had to reformat my hard disk, partition my hard disk into different partitions then install the operating systems. But now, formatting the disk is no longer necessary (thus no need for backing-up of files and the long wait in reinstalling everything from scratch).
I also like the built-in chess game, Chess Titans. I like it because I love playing chess (hehe) but next to that, I love the 3d look of the board it presents. I know this is not something special, there are probably thousands of 3d chess games out there but it is cool for Microsoft to include this as a built-in game.
There are many other things to love and hate about the Windows Vista but I’ll stop here. It is not probably not worth it right now since Windows 7 has already been released by Microsoft as a Beta version.

So how do you make money online by blogging? There are many ways to do that but now we are only going to look at 3 of the most popular ways to do so. That is through a) affiliate marketing b) adsense and c) paid posts.
Affiliate Marketing
What is affiliate marketing? In short, it is earning commissions by finding and leading potential customers to merchant sites where they can buy commercial products and services. Once these potential customers buy something or do what the merchants want them to do (sign-up for a newsletter, fill-out a form, etc…), the affiliate gets paid. The system is as simple as that. At its infant stages, affiliates had to search out affiliate programs manually by searching and sifting through commercial sites to check and see if they had their own affiliate program and if it was profitable. If they are, then affiliates would be given the chance to apply for their program and get approved.
Years came by and these all changed. There are many affiliate directories and sites that serves as the place to meet for affiliates and merchants alike. Examples of these are ClickBank, LinkShare and ShareASale. So instead of manually searching for affiliate programs the affiliate directories above has done the work for us.
Adsense
What is Adsense? Adsense is Google’s advertisement serving program that shows relevant ads in non-Google websites such as this one. So how do you earn? Well, first you have to sign-up with their program and get approved. Once approved, they will give a code snippet that you would have to embed into your site’s code. Once done, this snippet would “sniff” on your content to determine what type of ads to show on your site. This is what they call as “Contextual Advertising”.
Here is the formula to earning from Adsense:
Targeted Traffic + Targeted Adsense Ads = Earnings
You need targeted traffic meaning you want visitors that come from the search engines as against visitors from social sites. This is because search engine visitors are the ones that click on ads. Social visitors do not click on ads (most of the time) because they are there to read and not buy (by clicking on ads). You also need targeted ads. You can do this by having a niche website/blog. If you do not have a niche website but instead have a general one (probably a personal site) then you won’t have targeted ads since the ads would show different ads relating to the different topics on your site.
Paid Posts
This is one of the easiest ways to earn money online. All you have to do is to have your own blog and find programs that pay you when you post something that they want you to write about. In other words, you get paid to post. And one of the best ‘get paid to post’ programs out there can be found at Paying Post.
So why do they pay you to post? Here are the many reasons why they pay you for blogging. For me, the number one reason is blogging has become a powerful medium for advertisement. So instead of companies paying tv commercial advertisements, they now see blogs as a powerful tool to sell products online. This is a win-win situation for everyone. Companies get targeted customers, bloggers get paid while potential customers get first-person quality reviews on products they want and need.
So if you need some extra cash or you are tired of working from someone as an employee in the office, while not try earning money online by using one of the methods above.

The swine flu is a very serious disease that could cause death if not treated expeditiously (immediately). But what is swine flu and most importantly what is the easiest way for you to protect yourself and your family from contracting this disease? Here is an excerpt from an email I got from an MD.
What is swine flu?
Answer: The swine flu acts just like catching a normal flu or cold. The symptoms are all the same for example: runny nose, sneezing, coughing, feeling very weak, loss of appetite, and fever. However with the swine flu you develop a lot of mucus in the lungs.
Why do people died from swine flu?
Answer: Most people under estimate that they might actually have the swine flu and think they simply have a cold or the flu. By the time they realize how serious their condition is, even the anti-viral drugs will be unable to save them. The victims usually die from respiratory arrest (suffocation) as a result of the lungs been inundated (filled up) with mucus.
What are the major symptoms of the final stages of the swine flu?
Answer:
- Fever
- Dyspnea – shortness of breath, or difficultly in breathing normally, sometimes mimicking
asthma-like affects
- Lethargy (feeling physically weak)
- Loss of appetite
- Chronic productive coughing and/or sneezing – you cough up a lot of mucus that ranges in color from clear to white to yellow to green to brown. The key point is that you are coughing up a lot of mucus regardless of its color. However if the mucus becomes green or brown. There is a greater than 90% chance that you may have bronchitis. Then you are going to need a potent antibiotic like “Amoxicillin/ Clavulanate Potassium.”
- Stiffness of the joints
- Vomiting
- Loss of consciousness
What can I do to protect myself from the swine flu?
Answer:
- Always wash your hands as often as you can, particularly after shaking someone’s hand, or
touching objects in the public domain like door knocks is one example.
Public Domain: means places like malls, supermarkets, libraries, gas stations, any place where
there is a lot of people touching objects you may have to touch as well.
- Avoid as much as you can from being around people who are either coughing or sneezing a
lot. If you’re forced to be around individuals like this, then you may consider wearing a
cloth like surgical mask that will cover your nose and mouth.
- If you are the one coughing or sneezing, then I would suggest that you keep a cloth or
handkerchief that has been folded multiple times and place it over your nose and mouth at
the same time when ever you are coughing or sneezing to protect others from being
infected by you
- Go to the hospital only if you have severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing.
- Stay home if your symptoms are mild because you risk spreading the virus to other people.
if you must eat pork at this time, make sure the meat is cooked well in
temperatures exceeding 400° Fahrenheit.
What antiviral medications are out there for the swine flu?
Answer: Amantadine, rimantadine, oseltamivir, and zanamivir, however the drugs of choice for this particular strain of the swine flu in the United States is the combination of oseltamivir and zanamivir.
