The reason why we have heavy traffic at SLEX every morning is because they are continuing to build the Skyway all the way to Alabang I believe. This is bad in the short term but good in the long term. I guess I would just have to wake up earlier to get to the office on time.
However, I was actually hoping that they extend the MRT instead southbound. But I guess that won’t be happening anytime soon.

This is the first WP theme I created. I know it lacks the color and all but hey I did it! This theme was created without using Photoshop (obviously) and using minimal images and lots of text.
My next step is to update this theme or create a new theme altogether with a new set of colors to choose from.

I went to Starbucks with my teammates after having a heavy lunch. I wanted to order something hot to sort of metabolize the large bulk of food I had eaten earlier. At the counter,
“One chocolate cream chip please…tall” I said.
As usual, I moved along to the receiving counter. Now salivating for my hot drink, I was disappointed that I didn’t find my drink that should have been wrapped in insulated recycled board.
“Where’s my chocolate cream chip?” I asked.
“Here it is sir.” the barista replied. Handing me this drink:

“But didn’t I order a hot chocolate cream chip?”
“Sir, fraps cannot be served hot”
I heard laughter from behind me and heard someone saying “Seryoso ako dito e! (I was dead serious here!)”.
I left Starbucks with a new found knowledge that chocolate cream chips can’t be served hot.

A few years back, the only places that Google Map defines clearly are those of 1st world countries. Best example of this is the US where they even have street views of their roads.
Now, lower level countries like the Philippines are catching up with the Google Map craze. As you can see above, maps of certain places in the Philippines are getting more defined than ever. Thanks to contributors, Filipinos are going to get to their destinations faster by dodging traffic by knowing the ins and outs of the Philippine roads! (click the image above and check it out)

I recently bought the book Visual Quickstart Guide – HTML, XHTML & CSS 6th Edition to refresh my knowledge on Web creation and to serve as a handy reference for me. I know that there are a lot of free XHTML + CSS tutorials online but nothing beats a handy book that you can take and read anywhere without needing to plug in the power cord (you know what I mean…).
I bought this book because it is a very good book. My friend lent me version 5 of this book and it was a very good read and was very informative. The author knows how to explain things in detail without losing the readers on the way. The big difference between version 5 and 6 of the HTML, XHTML & CSS book is the physical quality of the book and its contents. Version 6 is now in full color while version 5 is not. It also contains additional chapters not included in version 5 (for example, Style Sheets for Handhelds chapter is not included in version 5…).
Overall, I give this book a 2 thumbs up and would recommend this for beginners and novices alike.
