I took some pictures of my E71 phone with my Canon Powershot A560 Point and Shoot camera and here is what I came up with:

The E71, benched:
E71 on the bench

E71’s Bottom’s Up:
E71 Bottom Angle

E71 from a Diagonal Perspective:
Slanted E71

E71 and the Keyboard:
E71 and the Keyboard

The pictures are taken as they are. I know that if you want to take good pictures you need to have an SLR. But I want to prove that point and shoot cameras can do a good job as well. I’ll be learning the ins and outs of point and shoot cameras and will post more about it in the future.

Adsense Secrets Exposed! by an Adsense Expert

I had the privilege of being able to interview one of the best adsense experts from the Philippines, none other than Jehzeel Laurente. He let me interview him on his takes on adsense and share some secrets of his own.

Here is the full script of our interview. I’ll be editing some of them as they are in Filipino but I am in no way changing the essence and meaning of our conversation:

Phaw: So thank you Jehzeel for accepting this interview, so how are you doing?
Jehzeel: Thanks for inviting me. I’m fine just like yesterday and hopefully I’ll also be fine tomorrow. I just woke up and was surprised that I have an interview invitation. Nyok.

Phaw: So here goes, how much do u earn from adsense today? If u don’t mind hehe…
Jehzeel: Just enough to pay the bills, support myself and my family hehe.

Phaw: No need to give the exact figures but how many digits of income do you earn from Adsense?
Jehzeel: In dollars? Around 4 digits, sometimes 5. In pesos, I earn 6 digits constantly (And hopefully it will not go lower than that.)

Phaw: How many blogs do you have to create that income?
Jehzeel: I have 2 that earns me money everyday without me intervening.

Phaw: How long have you been blogging?
Jehzeel: I’ve been blogging for almost 3 years now.

Phaw: Are you doing pure SEO only or do you also use PPC?
Jehzeel: I do sleeping and SEO. :P

Phaw: Other than blogging, what do you do? Do you have a full-time job?
Jehzeel: I wrote a resignation letter and submitted it to our HR last year. I’m a full time blogger and sleeper now. I sleep to boost my earnings. Why Sleep? So that I won’t notice how many hours passed by until I receive my next check and payout from my blog advertisers. Hehe.

Phaw: How long did it take for you to earn $100 in Adsense?
Jehzeel: It took me around 6 months to earn my first $100.00.

Phaw: You said you only did SEO and sleeping hehe, so how many hours do you allot for SEO per day?
Jehzeel: Most of the time, 0 hours per day. I’m just doing minor SEO now (like once or twice a month) because my blog is now ranking well for most of its target keywords in major search engines.

Phaw: When you say you do SEO, what exactly do you do? Or is this a secret =P?
Jehzeel: There are more than a hundred factors to consider in doing SEO. And there are a lot of ways to do SEO. But the most basic way to optimize a keyword is to build links. That’s why “Link Builders” have jobs.

Phaw: How do you optimize for a keyword?
Jehzeel: Just like what I said in the previous question. There are different factors in optimizing a keyword. The easiest way is to… You know, read my previous answer. Yay!

Phaw: To the newbies (like me), what do you think is the best step we can do to increase our Adsense incomes?
Jehzeel: Keep on blogging. Avoid plagiarism. Write unique and original content. Constantly exchange links with your friends and other bloggers. Look for best ways to position your Adsense ads. There are a lot of resources online if you’re interested and patient enough to look for it.

Phaw: What mistakes do you often see newbies doing in their Adsense campaigns?
Jehzeel: Spamming. A lot of newbie bloggers with Adsense ads tends to spam Google. But this move is extremely dangerous because you can get banned anytime without prior notice.

Phaw: Who is your Adsense mentor? Do you have one?
Jehzeel: I didn’t have a mentor. I just learned everything online by reading and implementing what I’ve read. But there are people who inspired me to pursue my Adsense journey. Thanks to Marhgil for sharing his keywords and to Winston for introducing Adsense to me.

Phaw: Have you heard of HyperVRE? What do you think of it?
Jehzeel: I just heard it from you and I’m not familiar with it. Wooot!

Phaw: Would you like to thank anyone for helping you when you were a newbie before?
Jehzeel: I would like to thank all of my readers and subscribers for reading and leaving comments in my blog until now.

Phaw: Any additional tips for anyone wanting to earn an income online?
Jehzeel: Keep on blogging. Earnings will eventually come even if you don’t look for it. Blogging is now one of the best ways to make money online at the same time, having fun and making new friends.

Thanks a lot Jehzeel! You truly are an Adsense master ! =P

What free E71 application gives you free calls? None other than Fring! Well, what is Fring? Fring is a free mobile application for the Nokia E71 and is compatible with other mobile phone units as well.

So how do you get free calls using Fring? The answer is Skype. First and foremost, you and the person you are going to call should have Fring installed on your E71 phones. Then, both of you should have Skype accounts as well. Once you meet this req’ts, the only thing left is an internet wifi connection or any connection that would connect your E71 phone to the internet.

Once everything is set, here are the steps to follow (by both you and the callee):

1) Open the Fring E71 application.
2) Once connected, login to skype.
3) Select the person you are going to call
4) With the person selected, select the Option button and choose Skype Call.

…and that’s it!

Conspiracy of the Rich - online book by Robert Kiyosaki

Conspiracy of the Rich If you have read Robert Kiyosaki’s best-selling Rich Dad Poor Dad’s book series, you’ll probably be interested in his latest project. In this latest project, Robert put his still on-going , “in the works” book online and made the already made pages available for viewing online. The catch is, you have to register first before you could view his book. I guess this is fine for security purposes. You can’t just let others read the unfinished book, copy it and publish it as their own right?

Additionally, there are links to certain parts of the books which he left open for discussion. I think this is a very good idea since this would involve his readers and could sort of feel that the book is somewhat “theirs” as well since they contributed to the contents of the book or if not directly, indirectly providing information to the author himself.

As usual(like his other books), he is again letting us know of the danger of not having a financial education. This is important especially now where the whole world is in financial peril. People can no longer afford to not know how to use money appropriately. And I do agree that financial education should be included in the school’s curriculum.

I do hope that Robert would give out free copies of his book once finished to those who helped him and provided feedback on various parts of his book (like me? hehe).

I’m not sure if this post will be helpful (I’m a noob with Apple software…) but here is a little something for other noobs like me! :P

I use other software to convert video files to be used in my iTouch. Little did I know that iTunes already has its own converting mechanism! So here are the steps to do so:

1) Add the video file to the Movies folder.
2) Select the video you want to convert.
3) Go to the Advanced menu tab, and select “Create iPod or iPhone version”.

And that’s it.

To better visualize how to do it, here is an image below outlining all the steps above(click on it for a larger view):
